Will became sick on Tuesday, the first day of school. He hasn't been back since, and is now behind in his work. I spent two hours this afternoon teaching him Japanese, and gosh, he's such a good pupil. He's like a sponge, eager to soak up any information that comes his way. It doesn't really matter what it is, he just wants to know (much like me). I taught him 15 hirigana characters, 2 kanji, and maybe 10 phrases. Of course, he'll probably forget a lot of this tonight, so we're working more tomorrow. It made me feel useful that he could even understand it, and gave me hope that I might be able to teach English.
