What species is your character? Yoruichi is a shinigami, which is a spiritual being tasked with ferrying human souls to the afterlife, purifying souls gone bad, and maintaining the spiritual balance between the living world and the afterlife. While some people become shinigami after they die, Yoruichi was actually born in the afterlife. DON'T ASK ME HOW THAT WORKS I'm just assuming people have to have a certain amount of spiritual power to be able to reproduce.
Would other characters be able to sense your character's species? They'd likely be able to sense something supernatural about her, yes.
Is there anything strange in your character's blood, DNA, etc that other characters might be able to sense? Just the aforementioned shinigami spiritual energy. Also, she's about 200-300 years old (I think), so it may be possible to tell she's older than she looks.
What does your character's soul look like?/What color is your character's soul? Orange, violet, green and white, all twined about each other like some trippy abstract art. Colors that shouldn't go together, but somehow work anyway.
Is it possible to read anything from your character's soul? Yoruichi has a generally straightforward manner, but at the same time manages not to let most people get very close. She's playful, pragmatic, occasionally ruthless, loyal, carelessly affectionate, and above all, very much a free spirit, and that last bit is probably what would stand out the most.
Does your character have an ability that others might be able to sense? Only if they already know a shinigami's basic abilities? Maybe somebody could smell cat on her, idk. XDD
Is your character surrounded by something else that might somehow 'stick'? Nothing I can think of.
Can your characters thoughts be read? I assume surface thoughts will be easily picked up, but please check with me about anything held more closely to her.
Is it possible to communicate with your character through telepathy? Canon doesn't say, but I'm going to assume yes, given her bond with her zanpkutou.
Is it possible to see what your character is doing through psychic powers? Yes, although again, she won't appreciate it if she finds out. XD Just run it past me first, please.
Is it possible to sense your character's location somehow? Hm. Yoruichi tends to suppress her reiatsu out of habit, so it would be very difficult to track her that way unless she relaxed her hold. But if your character tracks some other way (scent, for example) then yeah, they probably could.
Is it possible to sense your character's emotions? Intentions? I wouldn't say she was easy to read--she's generally very composed. But I assume anyone with the heightened ability to sense that sort of thing would be able to tell what she's actually feeling. Yoruichi tends to hide behind mild amusement by default, but irritation and boredom tend to show pretty easily as well.
Does your character have any mental walls or defenses up? Argh, If she had her zanpakutou, I would assume that would afford her some protection. All the same, she's not a particularly open person, and rather tactically minded, so I would assume that translates into some sort of mental defenses.
Can your character be mind-controlled? Possibly--let me know if you've got any particularly plotty ideas. I wouldn't anticipate it would last for long with her, in any case.
How do you feel about 4th wall breaking? I'd like to keep it to a minimum, as in stuff that she can write off as the other person being crazy. XD
Is there something specific that you don't want anyone to know about your character? Not really...she'd rather not go into the circumstances behind her exile, but it's not anything she's ashamed of. EDIT: Now that her bff is here, there will be lots of innuendo and general shamelessness in action threads and filtered threads. This is NOT how they act in front of other people, though, so please don't have your character assume a sexual relationship if they haven't actually seen anything to suggest this.
How do you feel about threadjacking? Fine with me, as long as the thread is public. XD
What about spamming your posts? Also okay. XD
How about sudden action threads? Just confirm where she is first; I'm not always clear about that. XD
Hugging this character?: Children and the child-like may get a pass, but anyone else is iffy. XD Yoruichi's fond of casual personal contact, but on her own terms (hair ruffles, leaning an elbow on someone's shoulder, breast-related assault, etc).
Giving this character a kiss?: Ahaha. You can certainly try, but between her fighting skill and her speed, it's unlikely to happen unless she wants it to. So lemme know first.
Punching this character (provided they are given an opportunity to fight back): Same as above. XD While she's not the strongest in Bleach universe, she's still pretty formidable.
Is there anything YOU DO NOT WANT MENTIONED near this character?: Most things are fine; while she's pretty laid back, she will end a conversation if she's had enough. As with other things, feel free to ask if you're not sure.
Is there anything you need us to KNOW about interacting with this character? Special physical features, fighting abilities, STUFF:
Cat form: black fur, gold eyes, sounds like an old man. Otherwise, she looks like a normal cat.
Human form: She looks to be in her late 20s/early 30s, stands about 5'1" (165cm), is very curvy, and toned. When she does actually wear clothes (which is most of the time, people), she tends not to show much skin. Should Yoruichi become comfortable enough with your character, she may well lean and sit and lay and lounge all over them, because they have become hers, and that's what she does with her people. And I take her from the manga and not the anime so her hair is BLACK and not PURPLE, despite my use of anime icons. Lol.
ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE MENTION HERE: Yoruichi is both smarter and more experienced than I am. XD So if she seems dumb, that's my fail at BS'ing her skills and/or smarts.
So, how would you gauge your character's...
Strength: Excellent--Yeah, she's barely 5'2", but she can throw this guy one-handed, and can put enough force into a punch to destroy a city block.
Speed: Excellent--She's known for her speed among shinigami; she can move so fast she looks like she's in several places at once.
Intelligence: Above Average--Judging by her ability to quickly gauge a situation and implement plans in canon, she seems to be fairly smart.
Willpower: Above Average--She rescued her friends and went into exile even though it cost her her rank and all her positions. In addition, she led inexperienced children on an infiltration mission despite being in very much the underdog position.
Charisma: Above Average--She gets along with most, but there are plenty of people who find her off-putting.
Endurance: Excellent--Even if she does say she's out of shape from not fighting for a century, she can more than hold her own with other high-level fighters.
Luck: Average
Mental stability: Above Average
Emotional stability: Excellent
Physical stability: Excellent--see endurance.
And how does your character rank when it comes to…
Close-range Combat/weaponry: Excellent--she's said to be one of, if not the best hand-to-hand fighters in the history of Soul Society. As a former captain, I believe it can be presumed that she's an excellent swordswoman as well.
Long range combat/weaponry: Excellent--given her mastery of shunko, I presume her proficiency in general kidou and destructive spells is high.
Flight: She can't fly, but she can stand and move about on air like it's solid ground.
Communications: Above Average--she's well spoken, but not always patient enough to explain things as well as needed.
Espionage: Excellent--former ninja/assassin/scout who can turn into a cat.
Survival skills: Above Average
Sciences: Slightly Above Average--she's bound to have picked up a few things hanging out with a mad scientist for centuries, but it's hardly her area of interest.
Engineering: Below Average
Medicine (organic): Above Average--she knows enough field medicine and healing to have nursed Ichigo through pretty serious injuries in canon.
Mechanics: Below Average--if you show her a screwdriver, she will look at it blankly.
Leadership/Politics: Excellent/Above Average--excellent leader, not quite as good politician.

Sure~ I'll warn you, though, not only will she probably not notice, but she won't reciprocate. Her partner WILL notice though, so fair warning. XD

Ahaha. Not likely--while Urahara and Yoruichi have something of an open relationship, she's terribly selective in her partners.
Can I kiss him/her?:
You can try, but if she doesn't want to be kissed, it won't happen. XD
What's his/her orientation anyway?:
Bisexual, prefers men.
Are you willing to play out any relationships?:
Yeah, if it makes sense. But it's unlikely to happen--right now Kisuke's here, so she's with him. If he disappeared, she wouldn't be interested in anyone else due to worrying about him.

Same!
Is he/she a capable fighter?: Oh, yes. Until very recently, she'd been out of the game for a century, but she's still been shown to be able to hold her own against some of the stronger characters in Bleach-verse.
Can I punch/cut/shoot/hit with a car/stab/HURT IN GENERAL?:
I'm not averse to her getting wounded if it makes sense for the situation. Run any ideas past me first, because between her speed and her strength she's very hard to injure.
Can I kill him/her?:
...nah. I don't want to kill her, and nobody wants a grief-stricken, vaguely amoral mad scientist running around wanting vengeance...right? XDDD
In terms of winning and losing, where would you rather they stand?:
Yoruichi is rather pragmatic, and cautious, and has no problem leaving to regroup. So whatever makes sense for the situation--she's very strong, but I know that sort of thing can be tricky to work out across canons.
Would you rather fade to black and just assume what happened?:
