Sunday was Mother's Day, and my sister, and I spent it helping Mom clean out her garage. This was what my Mom wanted for a Mother's Day present, so this is what we did. Among the rediscovered treasures, was my senior year prom dress (looking a bit worse for the wear), and my soft-sculptured madam doll (kind of looks like a version of May West) that I found in an antique shop in Frederick.
I also baby-sat Ally when she was up from her nap. It is impossible for three people to get anything constructive done, if one of them isn't distracting the kiddo. I let her take a bath in her Nana's big bathtub. Ally obviously has a well developed imagination. (I don't know where she gets it from?!) She pretended she was the Little Mermaid and she insisted that I wash her tail.
After I got her out of the tub and had her wrapped in a towel sitting on my knee, she gave me a little "mother's day present." I guess the cold air hit her after being in the warm tub water. Auntie Sandy had a much wetter lap than expected. I didn't make a big deal about it, just got another towel for the baby and dealt with my wet clothes.
