Very sad, and scary. Benazir Bhutto, former prime minister of Pakistan who was in Pakistan campaigning for the elections in two weeks, has been assasinated. An already unstable country is now very much more destabilized. They have nukes. This is not good, no matter which way it goes.

My friend deliciouspear was talking about hate-crime legislation in her journal, and someone she knows made the following post. This is written by sarahcascade, who I do not know. I heard on the news this morning that Great Britain has set a schedule to withdraw their troops from Iraq. Blair sounds fairly firm about this, though he was up until recenlty saying it would depend onthe situation there.
