Part 13:

Author's notes: Here we are, at lucky number 13. This chapter gave me so much grief. XD
I enjoy writing this fic, but getting all the details right was a killer. I still don't know if it's that good now as it is.

So, there's good news and bad news. The good news, for those of you still reading this (if you have given up on me by now, don't worry, I deserve it XD), is that I finally got this chapter done and got us to a somewhat concrete place, though still a cliffhanger.

The bad news is that this may be the last posted chapter for a while.  I'm leaving for vacation this Saturday and won't be back until the Sunday after this Sunday(which will end up being my birthday, believe it not, so feel free to take that as an excuse to party even if I'm not here 8D). Plus, after that, I start school on the 24th, and will have no time for anything but studying, I'm sure.
In reality, I could squeeze another chapter in before school started, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.

Anyways, enough of that, I'll make another entry for all that later. This chapter runs a bit longer than the previous one, but not by too much, plus I managed to throw in two more new characters (yay).

But, without much further ado, on with the show. Comments are welcome, as always.

Group 4 approached their assigned entrance shortly after Group 1 made it through their own entrance. But when the three men were about 100 feet away from the door, they spotted ten guards pacing in front of it. Eric quickly pulled Mr. Rogers and Peanut behind a group of bushes before they could be spotted by the door guards. Luckily, the terrain around this entrance was filled with vegetation, which made for easy hiding.
"So, what do you think?" Eric whispered as he peered through the gaps in the bushes at the door guards.
"What do you think we think?" Peanut answered back in a whisper, "We have to get through that door."
"But how?" Mr. Rogers answered, thoughtfully.
"Good question," Eric pulled out his machine gun troll catcher, which he had previously snatched just before Fish could get it at Ark's weapons closet, "It's like I always say, 'No fear, no pain!'; let's go get them, men!" he started to stand up when Peanut stopped him.
"We need a plan!" Peanut whispered, holding his own troll catcher at the ready.
"Plan, what plan?" Mr. Rogers stood up and cocked his troll catcher, "All we have to do is go down there-"
"And knock them all down!" Eric finished, "See? Simple. I'm glad we agree, man." he shoke hands with Mr. Rogers and the two of them leapt out from behind the bushes and rushed towards the ten door guards.
Now, Peanut often put a bit more thought into his actions. And while this rash action of Eric and Mr. Rogers' could have been the eventual action that needed to be taken in this situation, Peanut stayed at his post behind the bushes, and decided to take this time to brush up on his sharp shooting skills. While the guards were preoccupied with the two seemingly insane men running towards them, Peanut managed to "catch" four of them with his troll catcher and the other six were quickly caught by Eric and Mr. Rogers. Peanut then came out from his hiding place and strolled down to the door where Eric and Mr. Rogers were waiting.
"Took you long enough." Eric tapped his foot impatiently, "Those guys were a piece of cake." he moved to open the entrance door, "I don't know why this would be considered booby tra-" once Eric touched the door's handle, the three men were suddenly swept up from beneath into a large net that had been hidden on the ground under them. They were all trapped in this net and hanging ten feet in the air.
"I think this answered your question, Eric." Mr. Rogers smiled nervously.
"It wasn't a question!" Eric struggled in the net, frustrated.
"Still, we should have checked the ground for traps." Mr. Rogers muttered to himself.
"Just hold still, you two, and I'll see if I can cut us out." Peanut pulled out his pocket knife and began cutting away at the net.

Group 5 reached their entrance later than most of the groups due to Ark having to lock up his cabin. When the three men, Ark, Jamie, and Roy, approached their entranced, they stopped short when they saw it.
It was just a regular door.
All three men froze in their tracks until Jamie broke the silence, "Okay, where's the trap?"
"No idea," Ark replied, staring at the door, "but it's always the normal looking doors that have something tricky to them."
"Or behind them." Jamie commented.
While they were talking, Roy had wandered down to the door and tapped it lightly with his foot. Nothing happened.
"Hey, be careful!" Ark called, cautiously walking towards the door, followed by Jamie.
"It's fine." Roy replied, sounding a little bored, "if it was a bomb, it would have blown us up already. I'd say if anything," Roy stepped slightly away from the door, "the door has electricity running through it to electricute the unfortunate person who tries to open it."
This idea seemed plausible enough since the door was completely made of metal.
"Oh, if that's the case..." Jamie wasted no time and kicked the door down swiftly.
"Wait!" Ark called out, but the door was already kicked in and now lying on the floor of the room beyond, "Well, that's just great." Ark muttered.
All three of the men peered inside the room curiously.
The room was large and dark, with a small opening on the opposite side. Suddenly, bright lights inside the room came on and there was a loud rumbling sound coming from the walls.
"The walls!" Jamie exclaimed, "They're moving!"
"Not good." Ark glanced back and forth between the two side walls closing in, "Well have to run for it if we want to get through." and with that, Ark dashed into the room and Roy and Jamie followed quickly at his heels. As they ran towards the small opening on the other side of the room, the walls began to move in faster. When they were withing twenty feet of the opening, the walls were about three feet from them on either side.
Ark knew that they all couldn't get through the opening in time, so he did the first thing that came to his mind. He grabbed both Jamie and Roy by the collars of their shirts and threw them both through the opening. He then dived through the opening, just barely making it through before the walls smashed together.
Ark let out a sigh of relief as he saw that Jamie and Roy were safe as well.
"Freeze!" a new voice shouted.
Ark looked up to see seven guards dressed in black pointing guns at him, Roy, and Jamie.
"That's juuuust great." Ark spat.

Group 2 arrived at their entrance last. Not because they were slow, but because their entrance was the hardest to reach. It was underground; and the only way to get to it was through a cave.
After navigating through the pitch black cave with only their flashlights, Mina and Anony finally spotted a door 100 feet in front of them at the end of the cave. Both Mina and Anony shined their flashlights at the door and looked back at each other.
"Do you think," Anony started, "it's safe?"
"Hard to tell, it's just a door." Mina replied with a smile.
Anony picked up a small rock and threw it at the door. When the rock made impact, there was a small explosion from the door that knocked both women over.
"That *cough* settled *cough* something, I suppose *cough*." Anony choked in the dust of the explosion.
Mina blinked her eyes and shined her flashlight through the darkness and clouds of dust. The door had exploded, as had much of the cave rock around it. They were lucky the whole cave hadn't come crashing down.
"Come on, let's go!" Mina quickly got up, and helped Anony up. The two girls careful and quickly climbed through the rubble and stumbled through the entryway.
Through the doorway was a very large room with a seemingly never-ending high ceiling. Near the middle of the room was a huge wooden box about the size of two semi trucks. A large, red "fragel!!11" was printed on the side of the box.
Mina took a deep breath and pulled out her troll catcher; Anony did the same.
"Keep a sharp eye." Mina whispered as both of them sneaked over to the right of the large wooden box. They neared the box, but still nothing happened. Anony peered around it to see a door on the other side of the room.
When Mina and Anony were about half way to the door, there was a loud *BANG* that shook the whole room. Both women froze and looked at the box. It had a very large dent protruding outward; as if something was trying to get out. After a few seconds, Mina and Anony started inching towards the door again. Another *BANG* sounded in the room. Mina and Anony spun around, pointing their weapons at the box, with now had a large metalic arm sticking out of it.
"What...the...heck?" Anony whispered a bit fearfully.
"Run!" Mina shouted as she broke into a sprint towards the door, with Anony quick to follow behind her. But, before they could reach the door, a huge metal blur jumped in front of their escape route. In front of them was a twenty foot tall giant robot, carrying an equally large gun. Anony didn't waste any time and fired her troll catcher's "goo" at the robot's face. Much to her and Mina's shock, the "goo" that had firmly stuck on the robot's head was quickly melting off.
"Okay, new plan." Mina muttered, trying to shake off her underlying fear. The robot took aim at the two women and fired. Anony dodged in one direction and Mina in another.
"Aim for the joints!" Mina shouted to Anony as she fired a few rounds from her troll catcher at the robot's knee joints. The troll catcher "goo" melted from the robot's joints as well, but not as fast. Anony took this advantage and fired at the robot's knees as well, but this strategy proved rather difficult for both women, since they also had to dodge the very quick and deadly shots from the robot's gun.
After about five minutes, the only thing that Mina and Anony had achieved was slowing the robot down in its walking. This, however, could not slow down the robot's speed of shooting at them. But their attempts to "goo" its gun were next to impossible, since the robot would always shield its gun with its body whenever Mina or Anony aimed at the gun.
"This is not looking good!" Anony shouted to Mina from across the room.
"You think I don't know that!?" Mina shouted back, clearly annoyed; not at Anony, but at this robot. But before Mina could vent her frustration more by shooting at the robot, it suddenly zoomed towards her, making her fall back abrubtly into one corner of the room. It aimed its gun; Mina could hear Anony screaming her name. Mina slowly close her eyes as she rapidly fire her troll catcher at the robot. Just then, there was the sound of metal grinding metal, then a loud crash, then silence. Mina opened her eyes to see UC, Lucky, and Hana standing behind what seemed to be a very smashed robot.
Mina let out a long breath of relief and simply replied, "What the heck took you so long?!"

"Drop your weapons." the guard demanded. Ark, Jamie, and Roy did so, though not happily.
"Now, down on your knees." the guard demanded once more.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me..." Ark rolled his eyes.
"Down!" the guard shouted, "Or I will-" he was cut off by a loud *whap*. The guard fell over unconsious and behind him, all the other guards were lying on the floor, unconcious.
"What the.." Jamie started, but then he spotted the culprits. The alliance members named Johnnie and GeneD were standing nearby, with large clubs in hand, looking rather smug.
"Johnnie, what are you doing here?" Jamie exclaimed.
"And GeneD too." Roy added.
"Obviously, I'm here to save your sorry behinds." Johnnie laughed. "But no, we got the call to the war room, but our flight was delayed, you see...and, we had to come all the way from South Africa, you know." Johnnie shrugged.
"Indeed." GeneD added, "But just be glad we knew were to find you."
"Yes, thanks for that." Ark picked up his gun, "Now, shall we go, gentlemen and lady?"
"Let's." Johnnie replied, "Our princesses are waiting."

Corrie, Goldy, and Rushia all sneezed at the same time.
Moon was sitting against the curtained wall, busy at work on a laptop. He looked up when all three women had sneezed, but soon returned to his work.
Luneth and Oro were still very much involved in their Yu-gi-oh card game. Oro was winning. Jon Clement was leaning against the right most wall, looking around the room with a scowl on his face.
Finally, the silence became too much for Jon and he broke it, "Why can't we just get rid of them now?!" he pointed at Corrie, Goldy, and Rushia.
"Haven't you ever heard of suffering, Jon?" Moon didn't look up from his laptop when he answered, "They will stay alive for now; to see all their friends die. Speaking of which..." right on cue, a loud siren alarm sounded through the room. Following this alarm was five loud crashes, each coming from a different direction. All five groups of the alliance had broken through the walls of the room (opposite the curtained wall, of course) and were now standing in the main room surrounding Moon, Luneth, Oro, and Jon.
Moon set down his laptop and stood up, grinning a rather devilish curve to his lips. He grabbed part of the curtain, "Welcome!" and with a mighty pull, the curtain came crashing down. Everyone gasped.
It was indeed as bad as they thought.
