I went Barbie shopping today! Very fun. :) Except that I got to the aisle in the toy store, looked around a bit, and asked my mom, "So...were Barbies always this slutty, or did I just not notice?"

At my church, we do this thing called Project Angel Tree (part of a national organization), and it mostly involves tutoring children with one or both parents in prison. So, I just found out that I have a, um, kinswoman (my grandmother's cousin's daughter) by the name of Beth Ann Wiener who went on a macrobiotic kick during the 60s and ate only - or little else than - brown rice for months on end.
