Frances, Gaston, and Hermine- our three currently active storms in the Atlantic. This makes for a very busy GOES-12! I've delegated watching the continental US to 10 and she's just as busy what with all the severe weather over the weekend. 9 is busy with a terrible typhoon that's hitting Japan's coast. As you can see, we have little time right now!
Still, I thought I'd post some of my most recent tracking for Hurricane Frances. I've been watching her since she was a well-organized wave off of the African coast. Now she looks USA bound as a strong category 4 hurricane, she could have some major damage!
Poor South Carolina- this season just isn't your season...
Note: these are my own personal predicitions and are not endorsed by NASA, NOAA, the NWS, or the NHC. Thanks to the NHC for making this 5 day predicition of which I am basing my predicitions.
The light red track is where I *hope* it will go, but is unlikely. The bright red track is where it will most likely go. The dark red track is where it will go if it continues the trek of the forecast.
I'm off to take some more pictures and do more readings.
12 out!
