Song Parody: "I See You"

Apr 16, 2004 17:16

Okay, so perhaps there was a bit of truth in what my sister, GOES-10, said in her previous post. Perhaps I do have a tiny bit of an impractical, irrational crush. Surely I won't allow this to get in the way of my regularly scheduled activities and my ever-so-important work.

However, I did find a small smidgen of time where I wrote a song for him. "Cheesy"- perhaps, but what else have I to do when I am not busy monitoring?

I See You (to the tune of "I'm With You" by Avril Lavigne)

I'm floatin' here in space.
I'm ponderin' my place.
I thought that you'd see me by now.
There's nothing but the stars,
Venus and Mars,
the comets pass me by like cars.

Aren't you even tryin' to find me?
Won't somebody look at his phone?

In eternal night,
artificial life.
Won't you give me a sign that you're here this time?
You don't know who I am but I...
I see you.

I'm scanning the land
just to see your hand
waving to me up high.
But time just goes by
and I don't think you'll try
to hail your celestial spy.

Aren't you even tryin' to find me?
Won't you please just look at your phone?

In eternal night,
artificial life.
Won't you give me a sign that you're here this time?
You don't know who I am but I...
I see you.

Why aren't there any responses?
Out of sight, out of mind?

In eternal night,
artificial life.
Won't you give me a sign that you're here this time?
You don't know who I am but I...
I see you.
I see you.
Just give me a sign that you're here this time.
You don't know who I am but I...
I see you. I see you.
I see you.
