Thinking on my recent review of "The Irresistible Revolution" by Shane Claiborne, I feel I've been overly harsh.  So here are some positive aspects I feel I neglected...

Here I am at my assigned US Army base outside of Mosul, Iraq. The place is very well developed, having seen years of service as a platform for coalition forces' operations. I'm realizing more and more how very little I comprehend all there is to be grateful for.  The very ability to say a mere "thank you," and to be able to comprehend the act, to some small extent, is itself a gift beyond mortal understanding.

Meh, a sort of drull day, I suppose, which is really quite exciting when I think about it! So, either English didn't meet this morning, or I didn't know where it was relocated... same thing goes for the concert I was supposed to attend this evening. Interesting day so far. Fridays are usually pretty relaxing- English at 10am and recital attendance at 1:30pm are the extent of my obligations, usually.
