If you want to attach shoulder straps to the warbelt, but belt has no D-rings, you just weave strap as shown and connect it directly to PALs on a pouch (presumably heavy, filled with ammo). . . .

Padded backpack straps - simple, fast and comfortable
After making a padded straps for the AUX pack, I’ve figured another design, even simpler. Take a piece of fabric and fold with sewin its narrow sides. Take a wide (around 5 cm) strap and sew a piece of fabric along one side of a strap. Sew soft hooks for pack and strap ends. Sew ( Read more... )

Padded detachable straps for AUX pack - 2nd prototype
Development process in the evaluation phase indicated some iprovements to be done. First, padding moved more close to pack. Second, soft hooks on the pack are re-sewn so they are inserted only forth into buckle, not forth and back. Note they are sewed now with crossed box pattern ( Read more... )

I am aware about opinion that only sew-in padded straps give real comfort and stability. To be honest, I like simple seatbelt straps very much and consider them comfortable.
