Earlier this evening, I went to the acupuncturist for my weekly session. This time, I got the bright idea to take a picture (with my free hand) of my knee being poked.

Well, I had hoped to see Harvey Pekar and Nick Lowe (not on the same bill!) at Bumbershoot today, but I'm still feeling out of sorts. Oh man, am I wiped out. I slept in until about 12:30 pm because I got up several times last night to run to the bathroom. The only thing I can think of that would've caused that is the microwavable corn I got from Trader Joe's last night. The directions said to microwave for 8 minutes, but I did it for a couple extra. Ha Nguyen, a 23-year-old research assistant, walked into the Andre Chreky salon here, slipped into a silky green smock and sat for a haircut. Nothing unusual about that. But Ms. Nguyen's thick straight black hair, nearly two feet long from crown to end, was not destined for the floor and the trash.
