Things I have learned recently.

Procrastination is bad. I had forgotten to sign up for choir this session. Luckily, Jeanne (choir director) told me to talk to the director of the community ed office because they are letting returnees in even though the class is full. They set the class size at 40 people, and there are eight people on the waiting list. The problem/good thing is that most of the new people have been choosing to do the concert tour and most of the nursing homes we perform at don't have room for a 50- 60 voice choir.

Squishy is really good at turning on the garden hose.  Not something you want to figure out as you hop into the shower, only to discover that there is no cold water and you have to go outside to turn off the water yourself because everyone else is asleep.

Jenny is Squishy's favorite. He told me this on Friday before he went out to Fest. He just climbed up on my lap and volunteered the information.

Something else that Squishy is saying. Every time I would put the generic Target diapers on him, squishy tells me that they are "markers" diapers. At Fest this weekend, I found out that Squishy's friend Marcus wears the same kind of diapers.

It is hard to take your eyes away from a good shimmy. Especially if there are a lot of shiny bangles and stuff.

Always drink your water before you drink your beer. Alcohol is for sipping only.

I spend money faster than my Husband.  I gave him 40% of the money I brought to Fest. He still has 25% of it.

I am more parentally conservative than I ever thought I would be. Mystrycat has a friend who just turned 13 and whose bedroom is decorated in pink and black with a playboy bunny motif. She also apparently already has the "Miss September" necklace and wanted some sort of earrings to go with them.

Tuxedo onsies are cute. They were at Spencer's

Spencer's has a larger adult section than I remember from my teen years. Yup.  They still have the cool lamps though.
