hehee i really loved this chapter, i think one of my fav parts was when you flashedbacked and did the seran wrap incident lol i couldn't stop laughing. i liked the different conversations and the like i so see ironhide and ziva getting along those two really are a lot alike. i can't wait for the next chapter.

:) I love when people like what I've written. It gives me hope that I don't suck at writing.

Most of the shenanigans I write are usually inspired, in some way, of things I've done or been party to. (No, no one has ever died, thank God!) I also realized very early on that Ironhide and Ziva really do have a lot in common, they just don't know it. It's been fun writing their conversations, and it'll continue throughout the story.

Glad you're still enjoying it!

I really enjoyed this chapter--Ziva and Ironhide bonding over explosives promises to be interesting. I'm also looking forward to the fallout between Tony and the twins.

One really minor, nitpicky detail: The solar system is 4.5 BILLION years old. It's true that humans, as we know them, have been around for a very short time (hundreds of thousands of years), but life on Earth has existed for longer than that. Not that 9 million years is something to laugh at, but...again, sorry for the nitpicky detail.

That doesn't detract from the story whatsoever, and I still had fun reading what you've written and am looking forward to future chapters! Thank you for posting this story.

Might I start by saying your icon is full of win? Because it is. Really.

You know, this is why I am an absolute crap proofreader of my own work. I had that part about the solar system deleted, and I must not have hit that pesky little save button on MS word before I posted the chapter. *sighs* Thanks for the heads up. I'll fix it shortly. For the record, I don't mind people nitpicking at all. I'll never improve as a writer if you don't, so thanks. I started this endeavor into fan fic to improve my creative writing abilities (I suck at that style, btw), so please, please keep the criticism coming.

That said, I'm certainly happy you're enjoying it and that the story is making an iota of sense to people other than me. I'm certainly having fun writing it. Thanks for the review!

The evil plot bunny strikes again. I didn't want to cut the chapter short, and I wanted to do it justice. Hence, the part 2 next week.

Ziva and Ironhide have way more in common than they realize or that they probably should (you know, for the safety of the planet). Both are intensely private beings, so opening up to another about what they feel is tough. I'm glad it came across the right way. I personally think Ironhide has the best sense of humour out of anyone in the group, but he has more of an image to uphold that Optimus does ( ... )

I think the planets safety is the less important issue, not in any real danger, but the sanity of their friends would be doomed, if this two are going to become close friends.
The problem with 'Hide is, is he joking or is he not? I suppose he isn't entirely serious with a lot of threats (except for 'Cons)

Humans can be very, very vengeful, especially considering their sleep :P

I can think of a few, who don't like McGee. I'm looking forward to Tony & minor Twins, Optimus didn't know what he has set in motion I'm afraid...

I just don't get the point with the hate for the twins *shrugs* I was really surprised about it, when I heard of it, since I never thought of them like that.

Don't worry, it's just a very minor thing and such things can happen. It's no big deal. :)

Optimus thought pairing the twins and DiNozzo would be a great idea to keep them entertained. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. If it fails, it'll be EPIC. One thing is for sure: Prime had NO idea what he did. None. Period.

I think Ironhide, as you said, is serious with this threats toward 'Cons. Everyone else is another story, however. He uses his reputation as 'Con Smasher Extroidenaire to his advantage to make the other 'bots think he's going to turn them into rubble when he's pissed. But, I think with the Autobots, he's often a lot of bark and much less bite. The trick with him is figuring out when he's barking and when's he's biting because when he bites, it's gonna hurt ( ... )

I'm reading this and I haven't even watched the Transformers movie. Eep.

Eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

And you so have to let Abby met the bots. You know how she talks to her lab equipment. Can't you just picture her talking to the 'bots the same way?

Wow! I've got you liking it even without seeing the movie? Sweet! *does happy author dance* I'm so glad you're enjoying it, and it makes me really happy to know people can like this story without seeing the Transformers movie, either. I hope that means I'm writing descriptively enough to pass.

The next chapter (basically the second part of this chappie) should be ready to go by the end of next week. There will also be a note regarding Abby's involvement in there, but she's my epilogue for this story and will be getting her own "How I spent my summer vacation with giant alien robots" story when I'm through with this one.
