1. Crossword is #1 on my list, but in graduate seminars, it's not so easy to get away with. I fold it up as small as possible, put it on top of my notebook, and "take notes" on my lap, so you can't tell I'm really just working a crossword. Doing homework for other classes, however, looks just like you're totally engaged in the course...and when you leave class, you feel like it wasn't a total waste of your time. Also, writing letters, grocery lists, and to-do-lists totally look like note taking (writing lists is like #2 of things to fake paying attention with). Nothing wrong with a good ol' fashioned doodle either...I find it takes on a new dimension entirely ...when you color it in with a HIGHLIGHTER! Something else that's resurfaced since I got to CSU is note-passing, lol, I kid you not

Hahaha, interesting that you say that about seminars. I'm taking one now for Watershed Management with about 12 people. I still rock the crossword out no matter what's going on. The profs are always eyeballing me, but I keep it going anyway. You assign me a bullshit class, and I'll bullshit it.
