Work last week was totally manic for me.  I had this book that I just couldn't shift. Things kept going awry and it was frustrating and stressful, but it's all done now so a job well done I hope!  A couple of months and it will be coming back as the finished product, which will be exciting. I started my Christmas shopping today, and all in my lunch break and after work! Also treated myself to PoTC 2(only because, though, buying it in Woolies with another chart DVD, which was a pressie made it less than a tenner). Hurrah. Work threw me a bit of a curve ball today as my colleague was ill, but managed to get through whatever was put on my plate, as per usual.  I got melancholic at lunchtime though, deciding after yesterday (Rememberance Sunday) that at least my sometimes frustrating, sometimes enjoyable work days are preferable to a soldier's day at work in these ( Read more... )

I've just been browsing iTunes and despair,the X Factor single is doing really well. OK, so the guy has talent, but please, is there any need for these faux-inspirational songs? Oh well, if people like it I guess, that's fair enough, but I won't be buying it. The whole thing makes me a bit sad actually, because the public will probably be bored ( Read more... )
