Was stopped at intersection; first in line for the left arrow. Someone tried to beat the light in front of me and a mini-van and SUV collided. It was pretty surreal; just like in the big action movies. Thanks everyone for the b-day cards, calls, tweets and emails. You people are awesome! My nephews sang Happy Birthday to me. Then the three year old wanted to sing a song he learned at preschool, which was a counting song about a mama duck that kept losing her ducklings. It was adorable in his wee sing song voice. Today is a stray vacation day that I needed to use up. To that end, I :

• have not changed out of my pajamas
• have consumed an entire pot of very strong Sumatra
• am having deep-fried food for dinner
• will then watch new!Trek on my brand-spanking new Blu-Ray player
• accompanied by gin-based cocktail[s]

Remember the s2 hiatus, when all we worried about was how to keep Dean from being ripped to shreds and spending eternity in hell?  Good tiemz, yo!  Well, late that summer I wrote a little story about Sam and Dean setting off on a road trip, going coast-to-coast on old U.S. 50, starting at its origin in the Chesapeake Bay of MD.

I just opened a bottle of champagne, which foamed up and spilled over unexpectedly (no jostling or mishandling on my part, they just do that sometimes.) This in turn caused me to jostle in surprise and knock over one of the nice Riedel champagne glasses which chasarumba got for me last Christmas, which shattered everywhere.
