Um, what else? Keeping with the TV theme, I'll be working Thursday night when SPN FINALLY returns. Arrrrrgggggghhhhhhh. Must sacrifice chicken to the DVR gods before then. BSG, Bones, and Deadliest Catch are stacked up on the DVR currently.
Haven't talked about this yet, because I couldn't decide if I was going to, but when I did the follow up appt. with the doc because I was still not up to par, they diagnosed me with asthma. For the first time in my life?! WTF, right? It's still possible it's seasonally induced and may fizzle, so I'm trying to not to really get focused on it. And, it's certainly not life-threatening in my case, even if it *is* permanent. (And even if the pharmacist made it a point to tell me "WOW. This is the brand-new, Incredible Hulk of emergency inhalers that your doc prescribed! Me: -------> o.O ) When there are so many people -many of you my friends here on eljay- who literally HAVE fought terrible illness and disease, I feel like a dork for even being shaken by the news at all.
The timing is bad, I have to say, coming as a prerequisite to turning 40 soon. Like...SOOPER! Turn 40, get chronic illnesses and begin decline. MEH. I think the associated problem is the underlying "intent" I've been psyching myself up recently to get back in shape. Bought into a local CSA, ensuring that I'll literally have farm-fresh veggies delivered to my house weekly all summer. Joined a gym closer to my house. Bought new workout clothes literally two days before I first fell ill. Will this sabotage that? Will it be an excuse not to go ahead and do it? I KNOW it's completely manageable. It's just the idea of having to "manage" a chronic illness that I am not liking. DO NOT WANT!
