well, i made it back to portland somewhat surprisingly since the passes were unbelievably terrible to drive in. funny how it took us 14 hours to make it to montana and 9 to get back to portland. what can i say, it's kt's and my special way of traveling i suppose.
i managed to not get any of my homework done on the trip therefor i might have lost my 4.0 in all my classes if i can't manage to get my shit done. i think as long as i'm in school i won't be taking time off for traveling stuff and holidays while school is in session. it's too stressful and i barely stay on top of things when i'm in town. luckily i only have about a year and a half until i graduate, maybe less if i go to summer school.
i love how going to montana recharges me. i always feel strong and centered and ready to take on my life in portland for a bit longer. i feel very much like myself after going home.
and while a big part of it is seeing my friends and family i think it's the mountains and fields and air as well. it's the snow, and the river and the blodgett canyon air particles and invade my body. it's butterfly and higgins street and the holliday gas station. it's everything in combination that makes me feel so strong.
montana is a big vitamin that lasts a few months.
but over time my friends are one by one moving here and i wonder if i will be able to get the same thing from hanging out with them in portland. it's like we need the montana air in our bodies and being in the nook of missoula for the magic to work. and i wonder, will montana still have that recharge effect (god i hate using that word, i never know if i'm using it right) when my friends are gone? will the divide between the people and the place destroy the magic?
i don't know. but i guess that's why people call the old times the good ol' days.
on another note, i notice that plucking my eyebrows makes me sneeze.
