of course i have to get sick during finals.
i don't get sick all term and then at the most stressful point i'm practically bed ridden.

i busted out a 4 panel painting last night. it's amazing how much you can accomplish when you simply must. i've been adopting a messy painting style these days. with so little time and so much due i've learned to paint an entire thing in an half an hour. and it turns out i like it better.
there's so much more emotion and rawness when you don't have time to calculate moves on a painting.
and then the thick application of paint seems to add more as well.
anyway, i've never been much of a painter but these days i'm somewhat enjoying it.

next term i scheduled all my classes for tuesday and thursday which is totally rad. i'm taking sculpture 2 which i'm very excited about. not too long ago i hated sculpture but something changed and i'm super excited. i wanted to take welding but i have to get this class out of the way first.

my friend jim used to find road kill, take it home and boil it outside to get the bones out to make art with. he said it was the most disgusting thing ever, but totally worth it for the bones. i want to do that, since so much of my art involves dead things and body parts, and i think it would be helpful for sculpture class, but i wonder if i could do it. i mean, could i actually pick up the dead thing, take it home, skin it and boil it?
i guess it could be one of those learning about myself things.

on another note, i desperately need a full body massage.
