We brought Emma out for her first real excursion into the outside world yesterday, and I think that went very well! Well we did have a couple of short trips to church, but those were really short and only involved diaper changes and no feedings. I'm still here. So much for all my gynae's predictions about me giving birth early and all that. When I went to her for my 38W visit last Wednesday, I was still only 1cm dilated. As part of our plan to try and getaway as much as possible while we still have the freedom to do so, A and I spent this past weekend at The Scarlet Hotel. We didn't really have anything planned; just wanted to chill out in the hotel and spend some time together, away from all the duties of home. And it was really just lovely.

To celebrate six months of married life, we went to Brown Sugar for lunch. I've heard quite a lot about it and it's quite near our place, so thought it would be a good place to go.

6 months ago, today, we got married. I was just thinking yesterday that these 6 months have really been the happiest for me. Even though I think we've had a pretty normal life by most people's standards, it's the small things that give me happiness. Just being able to live our lives together is already such a joy.
