Okay, I swear I actually do have a life aside from fundraisers, fandom and (occasionally) fics. :) But please forgive me if I pester y'all again by asking you to vote for one of my school's fundraisers! :)
Could you please help me raise money for my daughter's school by clicking a link below to vote for one of these three teachers each day till Sept. 30? You don't have to pay anything and you won't get spammed. Just pick a teacher from below, follow the link below to the write-up of their project, and then click "Vote for this project" at the bottom of the page. You can vote once a day per email address. Your help would be greatly appreciated as it directly impacts my 8-year-old daughter's learning experience!
Pookie's school recently went through some major budget cuts, resulting in several lay-offs, substantial increases in class sizes (from ~20 to 30 students per teacher!) and a lack of funding for classroom materials or special programs. However, one of the teachers discovered this wonderful fundraiser through Sonic which has already helped us enormously. Four of our teachers have signed up for Sonic's "Limeades for Learning" program and one of them has already been granted funding by Sonic for her students.

Help me give our students a more fulfilling school
year. Vote daily for our projects from Aug. 30 - Sept. 30.
Mrs. Sisney, first grade teacher: "The TAG reading system is an incredible way to incorporate technology into our reading program. By having these Tag Readers available during our Literacy work stations the students will be able to work independently or with partners to improve their reading fluency and reading comprehension skills. "
Mrs. Anderson, kindergarten teacher, is raising funds for portable CD players and books on CD. This project helps any child learn to read, and is especially effective with children who have learning difficulties, such as dyslexia.
Ms. Warson, Speech-Language Pathologist: "In our language groups we take lots of pictures during an activity and then turn those pictures into books!! The books can then be used to reinforce vocabulary and allow the students to review the activity. It is so fun to watch them go from just looking at the pictures to actually reading the books. We are building our own little personal library."
And if any of you are public school teachers, it's not too late to sign up for this for your own school! Our speech therapist, Mrs. Ford, raised over $500 for materials her students needed!
