Also known as Potato Roll Cinnamon Rolls since I use a potato roll recipe for the dough to keep the rolls soft.
I use two different recipes for these rolls so needed to get them put into one main recipe.

This is easy and basic:  Yoga Scones (as the kid called them)

1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 C. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 T. sugar
10 ozs. plain yohurt  (I have also used HyVee fruit flavored yogurt for this--the peach makes a nice delicate peach taste)
1/2 C. water

I forgot that I had made these brownies.  They were in an article in the Food Network magazine. He Said/She Said.  These brownies were up against brownies by my girl Ellie.  Sadly, I have never tried Ellie's because these were so good.   The spices were dead on and I think I actually followed the recipe to the T.  Think I need to make them again.  ( Read more... )

We had crazy ice storm this weekend, so I baked most of the day. (As mentioned in the post below)
I tried Paula Deen's Loaded Oatmeal Cookies. Which I thought were okay (good spices) and DH loved.  She uses buttermilk in the cookies.  I did change the raisins that she called for and put in chocolate chips.  ( Read more... )
