Need to make time to do some weights.  Though it is hard when I want to do 2 miles on the treadmill and that takes most of my time. And in the mornings I really can't stretch it out much longer.  And if Brian goes with in the evening it makes it tricky on that end as well since he is usually done in 35-40 minutes ( Read more... )

One of my trainers at my old gym did this every couple of weeks with me. Usually had me in a puddle by the end of our time together. I think I told him more than once that "even my eyelashes are sweating."

Now, I sort of have been doing a deeply modified HIIT with my treadmill. Partly because the treadmills have an option for speed intensity (or some such) and I can start at 4.1 and then lope at 4.8. I have been doing about 3 or 4 minutes low and then 1 to 1 1/2 minutes at the high level. (Reverse/modified/cheating....whatever)
Closer is the 30-minute circuit in our gym that I like. (Ours isn't quite this tight as the picture that I found) 20 station circuit set-up with 1 minute on and 30 second "rest". During the rest I usually am getting the next machine ready. And you can push pretty well on it. Basically the 10 machines cover legs, arms, and the last one is for abs. In between each machine is a step station for cardio.
But I did find some HIIT when I googled that may be good for me to start again.
Starting with this page that has 10-minute/20-minute/30-minute sets. http://dailyburn.com/life/db/hiit-workouts-for-beginners/ As long as I am not doing burpees (AKA suicides) or high jumping, I think I can manage.

I love Daily Burn! That's a great resource. Circuit training is great. Torch calories and get stronger all at once.
