weird dream alert!
I had a weird, amusing dream the other night. I thought I would share it with you, flistees.
I dreamed that I "landed" in 1984. It was basically like I woke up standing in a strip mall in NJ, and I was around few teenagers outside a 7/11 type store. I started looking around to figure out when I was, and found some free newspapers. So I went to look at the date and then someone turned around and said it was 1984.
I asked how I looked and someone confirmed that I was in fact "back in my 1984 body" and looked like a teenager. People realized somehow that I was "from the future" and started asking me all kinds of questions. I went to take out my iPhone for a reference point, and then suddenly realized I couldn't show that to them. Somehow I had a rule that I couldn't tell them anything that wasn't going to change the future by, say, introducing unknown technology. So I let go of my cellphone and started answering:
"Madonna and David Bowie still have careers."
"Same-sex marriage is legal (mostly) but we still have racism and sexism."
I was then about to talk about all the medications for HIV, when I realized HIV was just becoming a "thing" for them and they wouldn't know what I was talking about. So I turned to one of the girls and said, "Always wear a condom. Something is coming. I can't tell you what. But, just, always use a condom. And if you have sex with women, use a dental dam." The girl nodded, bewildered.
A guy then came up to me and grabbed me by the arm. He reminded me that i was there to help him, and he was behaving very anxiously. I immediately pulled away from the people asking questions and walked off with him. At that, I woke up.
I have NO idea what this means, but it did amuse me greatly.
