Well, as I predicted Remus is flourishing and Romulus has died.
Here is Remus, in full resplendent glory, along with some additional basil plants from subsequent CSA pickups.
Then there's Romulus, the poor cilantro plant who withered in the heat and eventually just slumped over and gave up. Here on my table getting readied for a bin bag burial.
What is that to the right of the now ex-plant? Oh my gosh. It's a mushroom.
After much researching, I've identified it as a
deadly little brown mushroom of the galerina variety. Perhaps
this one/ But it was fun for awhile to imagine I'd accidentally grown a
magic mushroom.
I leave you with a few other pics. Here is the delicious treat T-Rex and I had for breakfast at the new Wafels and Dinges storefront in the east village.
Some Ukrainian flag color pinwheel streamers I bought for T-Rex's mother's birthday
and my new summer haircut, since the heat and humidity have been relentless
And I predict the new baby British Prince will have an A name. Albert or Alfred. We shall see!
Be well, flist.
