On Sunday I went to visit Mum. The weather was astonishing - so warm it might have been June, not April, and with almost clichéd blue skies with just the tiniest of fluffy white clouds.

We went to Yorkshire this weekend, to stay with sartorresartus and xrseyre. On Saturday we went into York. Somehow, I've never been to the famous Castle Museum there.

( So we planned to go there. )

On my way home from Yorkshire two weeks ago (is it really so long already? Cripes!) I decided to stop, not at a dingy service station but at a castle which is easily visible from the motorway but which I'd never before visited. They do coffee too, but cheaper and in a way more attractive setting.
