NAME: Nadia "Nekita" Kramer
AGE: 35
APPEARANCE: Unnaturally black hair (it's dyed; it's usually just a very dark brown) done in a style that, while not exactly out of the 80s punks scene, isn't far removed. A pair of John Lennon sunglasses, slightly pointed ears and a pixieish facial shape. Studded, short leather jacket with a tank-top that cuts off at the midriff, jeans and boots.
DESCRIPTION: A hapa (half-Asian) vampire with a great deal of concern for the vampire community, but prefers to stay out of the limelight where possible. Tends to talk with her fists first. She has a great love of motorcycles and punk music, and will belt anyone who say either of them suck. Impulsive, but in a fashion tempered by years of experience. Also loud and boisturous.
HISTORY: Though they were half Japanese and half white, the twin sisters Nadia (who prefers to go by the name "Nekita" after a certain movie) and Clara are full-blooded vampires in a world where vampires are natural creatures who theoretically evolved from the vampire bat. They were raised during a turbulent time where vampires were just beginning to form their own equal rights movement in an environment harsher than that faced even by other minority ethnic groups, due to their portrayal as bloodsucking killers. The two sisters faced this animosity in vastly different ways; Clara chose a political, diplomatic route, while Nekita made her disdain known with her fists. In spite of their differing paths, however, the two were close in a way only twins could be, and as Clara's political star rose, Nekita was there to back her the whole way. Clara's no-nonsense attitude earned her a derogatory nickname among her critics as "The Vampire Queen," but she nevertheless tirelessly fought for the rights of all vampires while at the same time addressing the needs and concerns of their own community. Nekita, in the meantime, preferred protecting the "little guy," the ones who would be pushed around by anti-vampire punks.
Nekita met Hibichi by chance one day; Hibichi had a tendency to run away and wander the streets at night at times, and the two met that way. Nekita liked the kid; he was cheerful, and aside from all that geek stuff was a pretty awesome and open-minded kid. The two were quite close as a result, watching each others' backs on the streets.
Then the world shattered.
Nekita, never one to let a little thing like a world ending get her down, soon managed to get back on her feet. In addition to her mechanic skills, there was an appreciation in Gran Frontier for people who could analyze some of the technology found in the world sections the world crystals created. At the same time, however, she fretted; Clara had disappeared in the chaos, but Nekita knows for a fact that she is alive somewhere. Twins can feel these things.
Not that she has time to search lately. Not only does she have her mechanic work, but she's found herself in a position of leadership among the few other vampires who made the crossover with her. She has found herself in the role Clara was in whether she likes it or not -- and will continue to hold that position until Clara returns to her if it kills her.
And if that wasn't enough, Nekita is finding that in a world that's a mixed salad of other worlds, there are some places where vampires as they appeared in myth DO exist...
