So, I've regained my inspiration. After years of writing multiple pieces a day, every day, I lost my inspiration. Honestly, life just happened. I fell in love, got engaged, made many life decisions, and started actually growing up. It was good for me, but lately I have been longing to go back to that place of creativity and self reflection. Suddenly, I'm inspired again. I'm learning to slow down and let the words come to me. I'm rusty, but I'm back. Now, I'm not going to promise to be the LJ post beast I used to be back in the day. I have a full time job, a wedding to plan, and multitudes of other obligations. HOWEVER! I'm really going to try to make a genuine effort to be here as often as I can. I know I've probably lost scads of readers while I was gone. That's okay. I've kept many of you as friends in other venues and that's awesome. So, if you're still with me, let me hear ya and leave me a comment.
Now, another decision I've made is to make all of my posts PUBLIC. The days of hiding are done. I'm open to new friends, and feedback. I'm not really interested in holding back this time. I want to jump back into my writing head first.
I also have a new journal specifically for short stories, prose pieces, and free writing that I'm exploring. They're mostly unedited and some are experiments for a book I'm attempting to write. At the moment there's only one entry, but that will probably be changing by the night's end. My poetry will still be kept and posted here along with any personal updates (those may still be friends only depending on the content...it's not smart to throw everything out there for the world to see). Anyway, the new journal is
lunalai. Add me if you want.
Lastly, I'll be going through my friends list and doing some editing in a moment. If you find that you've been cut and you didn't want to be, don't take offense...just message or comment me and I'll add you back. I'm just trying to pair down my friends page so it'll be easier for me to keep up with those that are actually still somewhat active here.
Thank you, friends. Looking forward to interacting and writing with you all again.
