(no subject)
kinda bored so i'll do a quick update.
nothing's on tv and i've been putting this (among several other things) off for a while. quiet days, today and yesterday. yesterday was more quiet than today, but thats only because people have been signing in today. so i had to do the welcome sign-in thing with them. luckily about 3 or 4 people showed up at once, so only had to do the welcome intro speech once for them. so that was really the highlight of my afternoon.
i wasnt able to get my springs done like i had wanted to. slight bummer there, but i'll get them ready to go in the next few days. also wasnt able to call mom and mr. bassinni over the weekend like i would have liked. i want to call mom saying i'll be asking about a car in the next week or two, and that i will contact bassinni shortly after. mr bassinni teaches auto mechanics at MCCC and is also a good friend of the family. so i want to get his input on what kind of trucks i should look for, avoid, what features to want, etc etc etc, and how much cash i should expect to shell out. then mosey on down to J&J motors out here and start looking. from what i hear you can go in there and tell them what you want and how much you want to pay and they'll find what your looking for. so i would really like to do that this week. i would like to be mobile by the end of august so i have some warm weather days to play around with the sound system if i desire its replacement.
also i might have found someone to drive back with me. i was talking to jenna the other day and she was saying how much she wanted to come out here and such, but she wasnt sure of when she would be able to. i then mentioned the idea of her flying out here and then driving back home for christmas. she thought the idea was awesome, and that she would start saving up for a ticket now. and on that note i did some looking about expedia.com, and found that if she booked a ticket that day, she would pay about $200. but she didnt book yet(thankfully) as i would prefer her to book one AFTER i get a car so that guarantees a return trip. so i'll have to keep her updated on my vehicle situation. normally the price doesnt jump up for a few weeks, so if she books a ticket by the end of september, she shouldnt be paying much more than $250-$275.
elsewhere, i have a class this week, but i think it'll be alot of fun. its powder horn construction and decoration with ron ehlert (the guy whos other class i worked on my wheellock in). which reminds me, i have to write him a check to join the NMRA (national muzzleloading rifle association) this week. i might wind up doing that tomorow actually. but you never know, lol.
well, im just about ready to get to bed. everything i wanted to say has been said, so im ready to get off and do other things, like sleep! i have an early day tomorow and i need some sleep.
