Weigh-in 9 of 12!

Alright!  Excellent week.  I hit my original goal and lost 3 lbs this week.  I think a little bit of that had to do with being sick and drinking an amazing amount of liquid over a three day period!  But I will take it!  And try and use it as motivation to continue for the next three weeks!

Ok, stats to date:  I have lost 13.6 lbs during this 9 week session!  My short term goal of loosing 40 lbs is coming up!  Whoo - hoo!

Motivation time.  What motivates you?

I have very few things that I find motivating.  Losing weight is something that I think about a lot.  I cry about a lot.  I stress about a lot.  But when it comes down to it, I picture myself differently than I look in the mirror, so I have a hard time imagining what it would be like to be a healthier weight. Therefore just the act of weighing down a few pounds does not in and of itself provide motivation.  I am *sadly* more motivated by fashion.  I cannot wear many of the things I find attractive simply because they do not fit, are not made in my size, look/feel dreadful when worn.  Being smaller would allow me to shop thrift and wear more 'fun' articles.  I feel like this is a lame sort of motivation, but voila.  Truth be told.  {Example: Flowy sun dresses look fun and easy to wear on slender people.  I look I am wearing a mumu, or have to wear shorts and a tank top under them therefore defeating the purpose of the sun dress entirely.  If I am going to have to wear those underneath, why wear the dress anyway.  Then the outfit just gets sad.}

Three more weeks of 'competition' then the real test begin!  Let's see how well I can do for the three :)  Good luck out there too guys!
