I weighed-in this week after being sent home sick, visiting the doctor and being told to stay away from work for 2 days. This has never happened to me before. I have always had a great immune system and never been out of work/school for more than a day. So... only gaining 2 oz for the week. Not too bad. Unfortunately my motivation is severely lacking. I am sick - coughing up phlegm, runny nose, but still hungry. How is that possible? I am not quite sure myself, but besides drinking endless tea and water (like 10 mugs/glasses - 80+ oz!) and having to make seemingly endless trips to the bathroom, I seem to always be gravitating towards the kitchen.
On another topic (still weight/lifestyle related though), my food store paring down is going well. I am eating through my frozen meals and unhealthy options. When they are gone, my plan is not to replace them. I want to try making more from scratch (not necessarily low-fat or super healthy only, but made with love and attention and determination to know what I am eating and how much effort it takes to make.) So, a few more Smart Ones frozen meals, Lean Pockets, some steamers and voila - I am on my own. It is like weening yourself off of something slowly. In my apartment too, we are eating more fruit! This week, tangelo/mineolas (super tasty - especially to someone who has never been an ultra fan or oranges), and kiwi! Yum on both accounts!
So, 4 weeks to go and I need to get my motivation back - use my stepper, eat and plan healthy snacks and meal sides so I am full, not searching for desserts and sweets! Wishing everyone out there continued success with your goals! Have a great week!!
