Health update...
Hi everybody. I'm making this post public again in case any of my old friends decide to check up on me. If so, thank you, I appreciate it.
Thursday I went to the oncologist. Basically the three things they thought it could be were allergic drainage, infection, or a recurrence of Hodgkin's disease. They ruled out the first two in the first five minutes.
So yesterday, I went in for a PET/CT scan, which is like a super fancy $7000 cat scan. They injected me with radioactive glucose that seeks out malignancy.
The results will be in on Monday.
So, here we are. I will tell you what I think. I think I am getting ready to fight for life again. But, with God's help, I kicked its ass twice before, I'll do it again. I'm more afraid of my financial situation than I am of the cancer, for I know it will be a huge burden on my parents.
Brad won't care, he may even be happy. I don't know if I'll get to keep my kids, but I think I will. They are so dear to me, I can't imagine the judge taking them from me because I am sick. We'll see.
But I need everybody around me in battle mode. I am tougher than it would seem. Relationships break me down, but health problems?? No way. I'm going to beat this. It wants to take me, and I will not let that happen.
I love all of you, and covet your prayers.
And, for those of you who don't believe in God, I hope that you will reconsider very soon. He loves us all and cares for us in life's darkest days, if we will only let Him. And He will carry me through this.
