It's been a while since my last post. Life has kept me active. Had a bout of illness in January and my wife was also ill. We're better now. Right now, I'm writing and reading a lot. My desire to be out in public is stronger this year. It's not to draw attention to myself or fame but to educate the public about transgender people. Yesterday I met with my veterans group. I belong to a glbt group called American Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER). The organization works to help glbt vets get treatment and care at VA hospitals. I am reading a book called 'Transgender History' by Susan Stryker. I read it last year. I'm reading it again because I need to learn much about why the transgender community is discriminated against in the glb community. Today is my third anniversary of coming out as a crossdresser and transgender woman. This past year has been really great. I marched in the gay pride parade. I declared myself a transgender woman.
