guilty pleasures
Currently listening to "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne, off her new album "The Best Damn Thing", and I have to admit that I'm hooked. Gyah. Admitting that most probably lumped me with the rest of the tween set that adore her (my sister and cousins included - a cousin of mine actually got to see her live when she was here for her "Bonesz" tour) but what the heck? It's such a damned catchy tune! The music vid isn't so bad either.
Am currently back on the island. Sigh. My break was too short. Almost got bumped off because the plane was overloaded - it had the max 19 passengers but said passengers were, erm, healthy and had excess baggage so they bumped off 2 out of the 3 staff on board - Ms. Mitzi volunteered to get on the midday flight, while the other guy was someone for the on-going construction. My boss wanted to meet with me when I got to the airport so she insisted that I be the one to get on.
Shet small world. The Microbio prof who gave me my first and only 5.0 is staying in Miniloc! Bwahaha. I saw her when she and her husband went to Lagen for lunch. As it turns out, her husband is the coastal geologist that the resort is consulting with regards to the construction of a new pier on the airport's beach. I wonder who's going to turn up next...
Still pursuing that burst of inspiration for a new short story. I know how to set it up, how the story will go, but I just can't seem to get started. Hay. I so want to sit down and write but I can't seem to get started. Hay. And the thing's due by June 1. *bangs head on desk*
