Long time since I did this...

Ugh! I feel like I am a good few months behind with leaving comments and writing entries in LJ. I kinda have been fed up with with the password system. Honestly, if I want a fucking easy password to access my account there is no reason to force me to reset my password. Now I can't even make new password without really jumping through hoops that are not necessary. Regardless, in this time I have been mainly trying to keep in touch through Myspace (lame) and facebook (like anyone uses facebook during the summer). I really don't see why I just don't give people a call every once in awhile instead...

Anyways, a couple days ago I went to Schaf's and watched a couple of movies with some friends. Kinda got to see the entire movie of "Castle Freak". Talk about a laughable excuse for a film. I find it funny the only award credited to it's name is Fangoria's prestigious "Chainsaw Award for Best Direct-to-Video Feature" (if you are not familar with Fangoria, it is like the Entertainment Weekly for horror and gore flicks). If it wasn't for laughing at it with friends I would consider it to be a waste of time. After getting an eye-full of gore, violence, and crude sex I was relieved to watch "Grosse Pointe Blank". Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad and was a pretty balanced romantic comedy (hardly could be considered just a "chick flick").

Fast forward to today, I have to go to work at noon and I won't get out until 10:00. I think I might head down to Meijers or somewhere to buy the "Venture Bros." DVD box set and break it in. I wish I had more to do.

I kinda want to arrange a trip to Lake Erie Meteropark with a bunch of friends (I promised someone I would years ago). It is kinda funny that the last time I went there was in the 8th grade. That was the first and last time I was there since my grandfather passed away the year before. My father, grandfather, and I (all three of us named "Eugene" ^.^ ) would go fishing there almost every week during the summer. I never thought that one of the world's largest freshwater lakes would ever mean so much to me.

See ya',
Gene
