This post is entirely Becca's fault.

As some of you know, I have recently fallen head-first into gleeful fannishness for the new Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime. (I am reading my way slowly through, and adoring, the manga it's based on. The old anime I have seen only a couple of episodes of, and that years ago. I'll probably get around to it someday, but from what I've heard I suspect most of my favorite parts of Brotherhood and the manga are things that the first anime changed or minimized.)

I'd heard it recommended for a while, but I didn't really get around to seeing any until bookelfe kidnapped me over New Years, plopped me down on a comfy couch, and said NOW WE'RE GOING TO WATCH THIS. Because bookelfe is a fiendish temptress and also an excellent judge of my tastes, I turned to her after a couple of episodes (30 and 4, IIRC) and said "So, we're marathoning this now, right?"

(I am being very good and restraining the impulse to babble at great length about how it's awesome and you should watch it. But: it's awesome, and you should watch it!)

The problem with having Becca and me be in the same fandom -- for anything, and I'm pretty sure things like "baking brownies" count at this point -- is that we give each other ideas. And then we enable each other further. And so when one of us mentions something about playing angst bingo, well, the other one runs with it.

And so: FMA Angst Bingo cards.

I think one plays this for the episode as a whole, although I can think of a few scenes that might manage a bingo all on their own.

general geekery, anime: fullmetal alchemist brotherhood
