I try not to toot my own horn too much as people these days are quick to point and accuse you of having an ego. And other people are quick to use it as a springboard to tear things down. It's easier to tear down than it is to accomplish, after all.
Saying that, I feel the need to brag a little...
My yearly gaming marathon happened Halloween weekend as always. The only time I turned the controls over to someone else was when people were gaming with my husband in some Left 4 Dead 2 slots they had won in an auction. I never slept. I never had anyone give me a break. My only backup were friends who made sure I had food and water and monitored my health for the fifty hour duration.
This is my way of saying that although there was a team with me, I did the work. It wasn't a pack of people or a bunch of us working in small shifts, it was me playing games for two days with little relief and no sleep.
And the result?
As of right now, the total sits at $15,320.
Holy crap.
It damn near killed me, but I couldn't be more proud.
