If I had to explain it... I wouldn't know where to start...

So... wow... yeah. Wisconsin. Who knew it was such an amazing place??

The drive was about 6 and a half hours. I was supposed to drive first. (Keep in mind we got off work at the bar at 1:30am Saturday, slept about 3 3/4 hours and then left our place at 6:00am. Brian decided he would like to drive first. We downed some energy drinks and set out. We stopped to stretch our legs in Indiana and I took over. We hit central Indiana and Brian had just dozed off... Then I saw this over the horizon...

Of course, I woke Brian up. We were astonished... they were everywhere... it was amazing. They were so graceful and stunning. They went in every direction as far as the eye could see. We googled it... it was funny because we were certain there were a thousand of them. Turns out there's 303 of them. They power over 300,000 homes. It was a sight to see. Incredible, really.

When we got there I found out that the cake I made while half awake during the week had a bit of a spelling error haha. I put the apostrophe in the wrong place on "we're"! lol... so I just ate it. Hah!

Of course... one of the first things I did was snuggle this goddamn Maine Coon! Vegas!!!

Amazing.

graverobbing (Liz) demonstrating how big Vegas really is lol

Let's not forget TK. She's also made of awesome :)

We drove to Pizza Shuttle for lunch. Liz said we had to go... so we went and it was AWESOME!!!

Ahhhh sooo goooooddddd!!!! We loved it. Also The Onion is a printed paper in Milwaukee! And we took photos in the photo booth. I'll post those later!

And Mrs. Pac Man table!!

Then we went to Whole Foods where we spent way too much on tons of food which we went back to Liz's place and cooked. It was fantastically fantastic.
We also went to a drum store and a vintage store. Liz and I went to a craft show downtown while Brian hung back and took a little nap. We had fun and saw a lot of cool stuff, but it was mostly super over-priced. I'm all for not selling yourself short and all that, but people were seriously selling things like a magnet made out of a beer bottle cap for $5. I was sort of baffled. That's... a tiny magnet... hot glue and a bottle cap. Not clear on how that's worth $5. Or who would pay $5 for that. Also, things like rings made from scrabble letters for like $25. Like... just cheapy rings that have the little sizer prongs with a scrabble letter glued to it. I just... didn't quite get it.
I did see A LOT of cute screen printed stuff. Wish I could have had more money.

That night Liz had to work, she hosts trivia at a bar. So we went with her. When we pulled up to the bar, we saw that there was a Mexican grocery store across the street. Brian and skipped over there while she set up and we bought food for an awesome mexican feast for the next night's dinner. Giant 12" tortillas, tons of produce, seasonings, cheese, etc.
Then we hung out with Liz at trivia. Almost watched some white trash get into a fight lol. It was pretty funny.

Then Liz drove us all over the city and showed us all kinds of stuff and places. We were all exhausted, so we went home and promptly crashed.

I haven't slept so well in... well... probably months. I mean, my head hit that pillow and I was instantly out. I don't think I even moved all night. I didn't wake up until TK was meowing in the morning.

We got up and Brian made guac and tomatillo salsa so they could chill all day. They're better after the sit for a while and the flavors can saturate. Then we headed out to Guitar Center. It was just like every other guitar center. Then we got BBQ. And it was fantastic.

Which reminds me I should tell you guys that I ate tons of awesome cheese while in Wisconsin also. I got the best cheddar I've ever eaten at Whole Foods.

After lunch, we went to this other grocery store called Woodman's. It was epic. We went to the liquor store and we were amazed by the cost of the booze. Hella cheap compared to Ohio! Liz and I decided to get a Four Loko since it's about to be illegal anyway lol. Then I got a 6 pack of Hardcore Cider and Brian and Liz put together a 6 pack of single beers from the cooler. Lots of crazy local brands and stuff. It was fun. We grabbed the piece of meat we needed for dinner and some sodas.

We were all pretty tired after the BBQ extravaganza... so we went back to Liz's and watched Dawn of the Dead. She made Brian an awesome cross stitch...

He LOVED it.

Also, she had already made me this awesome scarf... which I love!

While we were watching movies and crafting, Liz and I split the Four Loko haha. It was actually disgustingly delicious.

We made up our ridiculous mexican feast and ate the hell out of it. Then we drank more to pre-game for the show we were going to!
We went to The Rave because Hawthorne Heights was playing. What are the odds they'd be in Milwaukee at the same time as us? When we found out we called Micah and had him guest list us. The Story Changes was also with them. We showed up and watched them play. Hawthorne Heights was spelled wrong on like... everything.

We went with them down to their dressing room. Mark told us we had to drink all the beer they gave them because they weren't going to lol. Brian and Liz had one and then we discovered a secret room full of soda behind The Story Change's dressing room haha.
Also, there's a "haunted pool" under the venue so of course we went down there.
Don't ask me, I have no idea if this is real blood, I assume not...

The place was trashed lol. there were chairs and trash in the pool and graffiti everyplace haha.

When we were in Hawthorne's room, Matt decided we should take all the beer and started filling a bottled water box with Corona. I don't know why I got put in charge of smuggling the beer out, but I tossed my hoodie over the case and walked out with JT and a few other guys haha. When we were almost out, one slid out the side of the box and crashed to the ground so we just keep looking forward and took off out the door hahaha. It was probably more hilarious and fun than it sounds, but goddamn, it was so funny.

When we got home we found out it was only 14 (well... 13 after the incident)beers... but whatever lol. We left all of it in Liz's fridge.

We got home and intended to do more drinking/raging etc... but eh... yeah... again- SO tired. We totally crashed.

Liz had to go to work Monday morning, so we got up with her and packed up the car and said our good byes.

We spent our morning roaming the city and sight seeing. It was awesome. One thing we noticed right away was all the bikes in Milwaukee!

And most of the bikes were really nice. Milwaukee had SO many bike lanes. It was awesome! We really want to come back in the summer with our bikes!

The city... was... just awesome.

And the water... just lovely.

It was just a really great time. I didn't want to leave. The trip home went well and we got home all fine and in one piece and we were so happy to be with Eddy.
The trip was exactly what I needed though. It was perfect. Just awesome. It was such a breath of fresh air after like the most crazy time I've been having lately with work and the holidays. Now I'm refreshed and in gear for Christmas. I'm stoked.
