Harry Potter birthday cake
Today was my mom's birthday. She really likes Harry Potter.
I decided it would be a good theme for her cake. I didn't have much time to work on the cake... I'm totally swamped between work and the holiday stuff this week, so I literally made this cake in one evening start to finish.
I don't know anything about Harry Potter. I've never seen any of the movies or read any of the books... so I had to do some research, but I was pleased with how it turned out.
My mom doesn't care for fondant, even the MMF, so I did buttercream on the cake and just made my little decorations out of fondant.
