What a weekend. It went too fast though!
Saturday night we went to the Dragon's game. The Dayton Dragons are our minor league baseball team. I don't really like sports, but I like free. And my work had free tickets for those who wanted to go. Best of all- we were in a private box- with air conditioning, endless pizza and sodas and a great view from right behind home plate!
The box was really great. I can't really pay attention to sports, so it was a hilarious mix of me having no idea what was going on at all and Brian cheering when things happened. There were probably 20 other people in the box with us; coworkers and family of the owner of my company. We moved to the seats right out front of the box, I guess still technically part of the box, and then I actually paid a little more attention and kind of knew what was going on.
Also... I got nachos!
We got to see the fireworks from the stadium. We had just as good of a view as we would have had from our building!
Yesterday, we went to Troy to hang out with Brian's family. We grilled steaks and corn and made big salads and I made a cheese cake. Red white and blue! lol
It was delicious!
I needed eggs for the giant cake I'm making this week and Brian's grand parents have chickens. His grandma showed me this insane giant egg one of them just laid!
Here it is next to a regular egg!
Then we went and got some eggs from the coop
It was a lot of fun! The chickens are free range, they just let them run around in the woods all day lol. Then they put them in a fenced in area at night so nothing eats them.

It was a really fun experience to see them. lol, I am so urban. I don't think I've ever chased around chickens like that. They lay like a dozen eggs a day. It was pretty cool.
This week I am making my first wedding cake. I am freeeaaking out hahaha. It's going to be SO BIG. I made the cake board last night and it's 20"X20" lol. HUGE. I made about 10lbs of white fondant last night as well. The wedding is Thursday. I'm going to start baking on Wednesday morning. I'm having a hard time trying to decide if I want to assemble the cake at the venue or at home. Probably at the venue. It's not far from my place at all. I'm going to put a big sign on the back of my car "Sorry if I'm driving slowly- WEDDING CAKE IN CAR!" lol
I'm assuming the cake is going to weigh between 30-40lbs assembled. I still need to pick up a few things for the cake. I need ribbons and a little box to put the anniversary tier in.
I'm stressing about it, but it's going to work out. :)
Katie and I are going to rage at the reception hahaha. We've sworn to raise as much hell as possible without ruining the wedding lol. Even though we're both involved in the wedding (she's a bridesmaid) I think we're both going to act like wedding crashers hahahah
