So that didn't happen like I wanted it to.
Yesterday was reveal day at het_bigbang and as you might have noticed... my fic wasn't among those revealed. Nor will it be for the foreseeable future, because I had to drop out, I shit you not, two days before the deadline. As it happened, I actually made myself map out the remaining chapters a week before the deadline and then I realized I have still nine chapters to go and long story short: instant writer's block.
I'm really sorry for that, especially to my wonderful artist jesterlady and the het_bigbang mods (who were very, very gracious about my last minute drop out!) and I honestly can't say when the damn story will be finished. I really do plan to finish it (after all, I now finally know how to get to the end...) but finishing it on time was downright impossible. As countless times before, my time management regarding challenges is just abysmally bad and I really hope that, should there be another sga_secretsanta this year and should I decide to sign up, it won't happen again, mostly because I really hate letting down other people.
I did happen to finish three more Off the Record pieces for Minor Characters and might finish a missing scene for The Big Bang Fic That Wasn't in the next couple days, so that's at least a good thing (because it means I'm writing again, even if it's the wrong stuff) but it's still a little like pulling teeth at this point. I hate those writing slumps but I guess that's just what you have to slog through, right?
Non-writing wise, things aren't exactly looking up - more like stuck in rut, actually - but I haven't really been a mood to write about it (possibly because I'm kind of stuck in a rut). I might be in the next couple days or weeks but yeah, that'll definitely be f-locked, so make a not of it if you moved to DW and are reading this on your DW feed.
Other than that... how are you, guys? Anything new I don't know about, anything cool, anything shitty? Tell me!
