It's September, so naturally, this post is about Christmas. Kinda.
First of all: man, am I glad that summer is finally over. It's still mostly warm with chilly nights but apparently, the insane heat and tropical nights won't be returning until next year and there are no words to describe how happy that makes me (note to self: I need a fall icon! taken care of \o/). Now, if it would just rain for a few days...
Also, I can't believe I did that but I started writing that Criminal Minds/Stargate crossover I talked about. I'm two and a half chapters in and already asking questions and googling things the NSA is probably giving to Customs & Boarder Protection right this moment, along with every German secret service and criminal investigation service interested in them. I'm really looking forward my next trip to the US, whenever that might be (in case you guys in the US don't know that: there have been several verified reports about Germans not being allowed to enter the US and being forced to take the next flight home because of something they said on their Facebook accounts. In private conversations. I don't even want to know how Customs & Border Protection came about that data).
And, last but not least, sgareversebang opened this year's sign ups but since I had to drop out of het_bigbang because of several reasons (still so sorry about that :( ) and never even got around finishing my fic from last year, I think I'll abstain with a heavy heart. I have, however, signed up for sga_secretsanta in hopes of squewing this usually very McShep heavy affair a bit more towards other characters and ships :D Holiday Fic Request meme this year will happen, but will mostly involve requests I still haven't filled. But there still might be a few slots for new fic, so watch out for the list. Let's see how that turns out.
Other than that, not much new, will update when there are signifcant changes in academic, professional and/or private life, I promise.
