*cries* Living is definitely harder than dying. It requires so much energy, time, and pain in the memories of the ones we have lost. You see, this is why I admire and adore Gackt for the man he is. There is so much more to him than the "pretty face" if you will. I think that too many fans over look this. I actually first got to hear Gackt and then I saw him. And you know what, most fans are always saying "OMG he's so hot, etc." To me, there's so much more to a person than that. So I always tell friends who say that, "I could care less if he had five eyes," Now I get fan girl-ish sometimes, lol, but I want people to know that I see beyond that, and I hope that everyone does. It makes me angry that people over look things like lyric meaning and the person inside. When I first heard his music, I was taken away to another world; and then I looked into his translations, and I saw what I believe to be his soul written out. It was and still is so incredibly beautiful. In fact the first song that I have cried to in my entire life was

And I truly agree. There is a beautiful, strong, courageous soul inside. Why can't they see that? How can they not see it...? Look at the man beyond the artist and you'll discover a truly admirable man worthy of so much much more respect.

Some people choose not to see it because they don't care about Gackt as a person. They are selfish because they only care about their own emotions, needs and wants, and they don't care about Gackt's feelings, desires and intentions. I think that's it. There's no other way I can explain why they can't see it other than to say they choose not to see it.

I could never understand how someone could idolize another and yet not know or care about the artist's true feelings. It is just incomprehensible behaviour to me. But I guess that is what's deceptive about Gackt's appearance. He seems to be such a tough, cold man outside, but inside... There lies a very kind and gentle spirit inside.

Thank you for this really thoughtful and wonderful comment. I am really touched by your words, and am so glad there are people like you who look beyond the surface and can see him for who he really is.

I feel the same way...and yet there is not much we can do when those people do not care to put in the effort to know the lyrics and to know Gackt as a person. By doing these translations, it is my hope that people will get to know more about the man behind the face and the music.

His words of wisdom continue to amaze me.

If I were to ever make a list of all the things I have learned from Gackt, it would be a long list indeed.

It makes me happy that he sees us fans as "more than fans." I've always felt that he sees us as more than just fans. He treats his fans as if every single one of us matters to him, and I think he really wants to reach all of us. I truly believe that he needs our support in order to continue doing what he does, and I
