Okay, so today I was supposed to drive to Lexington to spend the night  and see my ex-roommate and a few other friends before heading to Louisville to see Chris, Kelly & Michael. Well, today is the second road trip in the new car inas many days.  I have a doctor's appointment in Owensboro at one o'clock.  Follow-up from the spring. It is a little over an hour away, but they pay for everything, inluding my meds, so it is worth the drive, even at these prices. Has anyone else had trouble accessing yahoo, myspace or hotmail tonight?  I finally got myspace and hotmail to come up, and yahoo loads, but won't take me to my mail.  That's my primary email address and it is being held hostage!!! Well, I tried to go to sleep an hour ago, to no avail.  I turned the light back on and finished the last 40 pages or so of Married Lovers, Jackie Collins' latest.  It wasn't my favorite of hers, but it wasn't' her worst either.  That dubious distinction would go to Thrill(1997, I think).  Unlike most of her novels where there is a strong female ( Read more... )

I finished IHTBY yesterday afternoon and started Robert B Parker's High Proifle. It is one of his Jesse Stone books.  I think I should have read Blue Screen first, though. It is one of his Sunny Randall books, and Jesse and Sunny meet in it evidently..  As for TJB's book, What a wonderful story. I didn't want it to end. They create characters you ( Read more... )

The car is safely back in my possession with a brand spankin' new alternator and two new belts.  Robby is three hundred bucks richer. I am further in credit card debt. But... it could be worse.
