Undoubtably Little Chef restaurants, which are common around the UK and are roughtly equivalent to Denny's in the US (which I also like); these restaurants seem to have been around all the time since I was a kid, but they seem to be dying out; I can think of many branches close to where I live which no longer exist - I used to be able to drive ( Read more... )

I've been round at Mum's house this afternoon, helping get stuff out of the attic. I also looked through a bunch of things I did when I was young - including a story about "The Building with a Million Floors" that I wrote when I was about six.

A lot of what I wrote does not even make sense, but I love looking at it all again.

The trains today were not fun at all because of the snow. First of all, I took about an hour to get into King's Cross, and the only good thing was that I got through a whole chapter of Sons and Lovers.
