Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash) - The only Johnny Cash song I actually know, but I just love it all - the lyrics are awesome; "I fell into a burning ring of fire/I went down, down down and the flames went higher". I think it's possibly all metaphorical, but it feels very atmospheric.

Not a lot of songs make me feel guilty, but this one seems pretty gloomy and just makes me think of any time when I've been harsh on someone - the line which resonates most for me is, "When you hit me, hit me hard"

day 28 - a song that makes you feel guilty
day 29 - a song from your childhood
day 30 - your favorite song at this time last year

This song has particular significance for me, as it played at Grandad's funeral five years ago; I remember having long discussions about how this would be a really good song to play. I don't hear it any more, but when I worked with Help the Aged, they always had the radio on; the radio station that they always had it tuned to seemed to play this one daily - so I am somewhat familiar with the chorus.
