One of those days when my emotions feel a bit up and down at times; moments when I'd wished I had spoken to a colleague at work instead of sending an instant message about an important thing, but saw them with their headphones on listening to music (and one one occasion having a late lunch) and assumed they'd be too busy to chat even about an important matter. Just remembering the big hug I had with a friend earlier, and the nod and smile I got from the man on the ticket barrier on my way home, helps to get my esteem up a bit (yes, getting into a mindset where people at work can take me or leave me is a common thing for me).
I've just been aiming to be kind today, even trying to help where I can; so I asked a family who looked lost on site if everything was okay (turned out it was). I even put back my extra slice of pizza at the Moorgate talks when I felt that I was taking too much, though when one of the guys who showed up late left without touching it, I ate it anyway.
I'd have probably given the man begging on the train my uneaten packet of crisps if I'd remembered it in time.
I liked this plaque, passed by on site.
I spoke to a new colleague this afternoon, explaining some survey work I'll be doing with him tomorrow, and hopefully it will be a good opportunity to show him around London, and to let him know what I do.
