Friendly February: Some Things Make You Mad, They Can Really Make You Mad

Feb 23, 2024 17:45

One of those days when I feel that I should fill in a bingo card of little things that irk me. So, today I've:
1) Turned a corner, making good speed while out walking, only to get stuck behind a gaggle of tourists who are walking at a much slower speed than me, one of whom then gets out a camera to take a picture (I am very mindful to not photobomb people);
2) Changed trains, only for the doors to open to a sea of people who seem incapable of standing to one side to let people off; and
3) Found myself facing down/avoiding a cyclist moving on a pavement who almost seems to be willing to have a collision rather than keep pedestrians safe.

I think in the past I've been more inclined to get annoyed, but I'm just trying to be gentle with people today, even when I find them difficult like that. I'm just glad to have got to the end of the week, and just popped into a local restaurant to book a table for 8 March so I can have a belated birthday do with the walking group.

I'll probably go back soon to check that they got all the details right. I'm not sure if they put us down as 7:30 or 7.
