“Everything blooms in its own time.” - Ken Petti
On a day when other people are occasionally annoying, and I find myself having to go to the local shop to replace a ready meal whose contents were spilled inside the bag when delivered (thankfully, the delivery man spotted, and got me a refund) - and did I mention the train strikes? - it is good to think of things to give hope for the future.
1) Apparently Coronavirus is officially over, and I hope it's not a false alarm; stay safe, people, but it's good that we can all get back to normal;
2) For me at least, I am learning some good mindfulness techniques from Paul McKenna's Book, Freedom from Anxiety, and I hope to be able to improve my own confidence with all situations where I usually crumble (big events full of people I don't know where I'm expected to mingle can be scary, especially when they're all in little cliquey groups together); and
3) As someone who likes to hike, I was excited by
this article, and should probably download the app it mentions; hiker safety is always important, after all.
My first of three working days this week went fine, at home, with a couple of short meetings with colleagues.
I got a picture of blossom in the gardens near home sprouting (as you might call it) for the latest
photo_scavenger prompt: sprout.
I hope my interpretation wasn't too much of a stretch!
