Optimistic October: Independence

The town looking nice this morning in the sunrise.

I had my job appraisal this morning; it was straightforward, and I was reminded of what some of my strengths are; it seems that I'm becoming better at communicating, and sorting things out. I've just been thinking about how I can make best use of these today. I managed to quickly respond to some e-mails earlier.

Today's Moorgate talks event was inspiring with a former police officer who ended up in trouble with the law himself talking about how he turned his life around.

This afternoon, some of us at work had a tour around the new buildings at London Wall Place; I've walked around there before, but I learned a few new things, mostly about their biodiverse systems and green walls, and how they need to be irrigated properly.

I've been reminded that it's the second anniversary of my current Livejournal; here's to another two years (and more) of my blog.

On Strava, I have logged:
* Just over 2 hours for the Livestrong 25/25 and MAAP Transcend Terrain challenges; and
* 635m of climbing for the WaterAid challenge.

The latest photo_scavenger prompt is "off".
